Christine Li grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Beijing, and Shanghai. She discovered her love for ballet at the age of three and received training at Menlo Park Academy of Dance and Broadway Center Shanghai. She spent summers training at San Francisco Ballet School (on full merit scholarship), School of American Ballet, Royal Ballet School, Bolshoi Ballet Academy, and Dutch National Ballet Academy. She has placed at international competitions, including Youth America Grand Prix, World Ballet Competition, California Dance Classics, and Global Dance Challenge. After graduating from high school in 2021, Christine joined Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia as an international trainee. She is currently a sophomore at Columbia SEAS studying computer science and linguistics. Since her arrival at Columbia in the fall of 2022, Christine has been actively involved with CBC, and she is excited to serve on the CBC board!
