Friends Of CBC
The Friends of CBC is a community of supporters whose generous contributions allow Columbia Ballet Collaborative to continually grow, improve the quality of our performances, and embark on new initiatives. These supporters are Columbia students, alumni, family, and friends, as well as patrons outside of the Columbia University community who are inspired by CBC’s mission and dedication to excellence. We are truly grateful for our Friends and their support of our organization.
This year, The ABC (activity board at Columbia) let us know that they made the decision to decrease our allocation by 75% ( $9,000) this year. Additionally as of last fall, Barnard is no longer allowing dance clubs to book space. CBC now must consider off campus studio rentals a regular part of our budget, which greatly increases our semesterly expenses.
Due to these changes, CBC is starting a new system of tiered donation which is linked below. In addition to a formal acknowledgment of your support in our program and website, the tiers give you the opportunity to connect with our dancers and choreographers through open rehearsals, work in progress showings and an invited dress rehearsal. We are hoping to raise $12,000 to cover the cost of renting Miller Theatre for our 2026 Spring Gala, and we hope you will support us in this mission!
