Emily Kikta has been a dancer with New York City Ballet since 2010. As a dancer she has performed featured roles in George Balanchine’s Rubies, Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet, Chaconne, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Raymonda Variations, and Coppelia; William Forsythe’s Herman Schmerman; Jerome Robbin’s The Cage; Justin Peck’s Everywhere We Go; and Peter Walker’s ten in seven. As a choreographer she has created work for The School of American Ballet, Jacob Jonas The Company, and NYCB’s First Steps Institute. She has choreographed and created video work in partnership with Peter Walker for New York City Ballet’s summer home at Saratoga Performing Arts Center (2017-2019), Dance Camera West (2018) and for social media campaigns. Emily is a recipient of Center for Ballet and the Arts at NYU’s Virginia B. Toulmin Fellowship for Women Leaders in Dance for the fall of 2019.
