Sreya Sathish-Kumar grew up in Seattle, Washington, where she trained with the International Ballet Academy. She later joined Ellison Ballet’s Professional Training Program in Manhattan, New York, and trained there for two years before coming to Columbia University. She has received awards at competitions such as Youth America Grand Prix and the American Dance Competition Youth International Ballet Competition, as well as scholarships from San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre. Sreya is currently a junior in Columbia College, studying Neuroscience and Behavior on the pre-med track, and is so excited to be joining the CBC board this spring
