Lydia Walker trained at the School of American Ballet. She danced with Pennsylvania Ballet II and The Suzanne Farrell Ballet. In May 2010, she graduated from Columbia where she was the Artistic Director of the Columbia Ballet Collaborative (2007-2009). With Philip Askew, Miss Walker has created an ongoing series of works, which combine dance and yoga influences that they have performed with CBC and as part of Interactive Dance/Video Collaborations at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City. Since graduation, she continues to take on freelance dance projects and has been the Research Coordinator for the Hertog Global Strategy Initiative. In November 2010, Miss Walker joined the Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies in New Delhi, India as a member of their Nuclear Security Program. Currently Miss Walker is the US Director of Delhi Dance Theater (DDT) and attends graduate school at Harvard University.
