Caitlin Dieck Locke
Caitlin Dieck Locke was born in Mount Kisco, New York and received her training at Scarsdale Ballet Studio, Studio Maestro, and Valentina Kozlova’s Dance Conservatory of New York, where she worked closely with both Valentina Kozlova and Diana White. She attended summer programs at Boston Ballet School, Cedar Islands Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell, Kirov Academy of Ballet, and Miami City Ballet School. In 2004, she moved to Miami, Florida to attend Miami City Ballet School, where she studied under Geta Contantinescu, Truman Finney, and Nancy Raffa. Mrs. Locke danced professionally with North Carolina Dance Theatre and Charleston Ballet Theatre, performing roles in George Balanchine’s Rubies, Raymonda Variations, and Serenade, Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux’s Cinderella, and Mark Diamond’s City South. In January 2009, Mrs. Locke began her studies at Columbia University’s School of General Studies and became a member of the Columbia Ballet Collaborative. Mrs. Locke graduated from Columbia in May 2013 as an Earth Science major. She currently works as a Senior Research Staff Assistant for the Polar Geophysics Group at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University.
